Firstly, I’d like to apologize for being a little distant. It’s not you, it’s me. I’ve been pretty swamped lately, and it’s starting to take a toll on my posting, so I will be dedicating this weekend to playing catch-up with you guys.

So a few weekends back for V-day, I got whisked away on a little escape to San Francisco and Napa (which has got to be my favorite city in California). We only spent one day in San Fran, but it was well-spent. After settling into our rooms, we were onto our first activity – eating. Sushi is all of our favorites (and I’m not talking about rolls), so we were on a mission to check out this one place people have been raving about called Kabuto. Looks like a hole in the wall, but their omakase was heavenly! The fish melted in your mouth like buttah. After, we attempted a walk to the golden gate bridge, which was unsuccessful – we were way too full. We decided to Uber downtown to where all the shopping is and stuck around there before eating once again at Neiman Marcus’ Rotunda restaurant. What a beautiful restaurant! I highly recommend checking it out if you’re in town for the people watching and the ambiance. For dinner, we went to Roka Akor, which was also amazing, and then finished our night off with a stand-up comedy show starring Roseanne Barr. And yes, she’s still around…apparently.

The rest of the trip was a vino-filled extravaganza that I savored every second of. If you ever get a chance to visit Napa Valley, I highly recommend staying at – it was super romantic and cozy. All the rooms are basically little cottages, and depending on how much you want to spend, your little home grows in size and luxury. They all come with a gorgeous patio, and an outdoor shower – need I say more? After hitting up winery after winery, and getting more and more buzzed, we barely made it to any of our dinners those nights.

We finished off with a sweet ending to the trip, which was a hot air balloon ride. It’s been on my bucket list for a while now, so you KNOW I was excited.
